AMERICAN GENETICS
INTERNATIONAL

[Home] [Useful Links] [About Us]

American Genetics International . . . working with U.S. breeders and suppliers to promote USA livestock genetics, supplies and services at international livestock expositions.

American Genetics International offers the opportunity for U.S. livestock breeders and suppliers to market their goods and services at a nominal charge.  As an example, it costs between $7,000 and $12,000 to participate in a livestock exposition in Brazil.  This total cost includes construction of the stand, space rental and utilities, furnishings, air conditioning, TV/VCR, bilingual staffing and a security guard at night, refreshments, travel expenses, and costs for printing and preparation of display materials. For one company or one ranch, this can be a major investment.  But, when the total cost is shared by several exhibitors, it becomes more manageable.

American Genetics manages the entire event for the U.S. exhibitors - not only designing the construction and layout of the stand, but also meeting with visitors, discussing the products and services offered by the stand's exhibitors and doing the initial follow-up with each visitor following the show.

In addition, we encourage U.S. breeders and suppliers to travel to these foreign expositions to personally meet potential buyers, if their time permits.  Tour packages are available which include hotel accommodations, ranch visits, and sightseeing after the work is done!

Key Elements of AGI's stands at livestock expositions:

Self-contained and lockable for security of exhibitors materials

Air-conditioned due to the heat & humidity

TV/VCR for continuous playing of exhibitor's videos

Shelves for display of brochures

Table & chairs for browsing through catalogs

Bilingual hostess to greet visitors

During the day, refreshments (water, sodas, beer, snacks)

In the evening, cocktails with light hors d'oeuvres (cheese, crackers, salami, nuts) when breeders are most likely to linger to discuss future business opportunities

The stand is staffed usually from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. depending upon the exposition activities.

Displays include:

Flags of both the foreign country and the USA

        List of all exhibiting ranches/companies

Photos display of genetics or products available

Display of each exhibitor's contact information

Easy access to a supply of exhibitor's business cards for all visitors

Distribution of brochures to potential buyers

Listing of services that can be provided to those wishing to import

Marketing Goals:

To expand the exhibitors' client base through solicitation of visitor's names and interests.  Visitors to the stand complete a reply card or submit a business card to be eligible in the drawing for a Texas belt buckle.

Conduct discussions with potential buyers (a private meeting room is provided for this purpose.)

Exposure in the media through interviews with breed magazines and local radio and newspaper reporters.
